Civil Legal Aid And How To Find It

What Is The Difference Between Legal Aid And Pro bono?

Although all lawyers are recommended to devote their partial working hours for the public good under ethical rules, pro bono lawyers do not only work for low-income clients or for free, unlike legal aid attorneys. Usually, civil law firms take pro bono cases out of marketing reasons, which they'd take the chance to improve the firm reputation. Meanwhile, some firms only take "safe cases" in order to keep their paying clients happy. Due to many reasons, pro bono lawyers are rarely as efficient as professional legal aid lawyers, and they may not be as competent to handle complicated cases as those who work for legal aid programs.
